The Phlebotomist is a valuable member of the health care team responsible for
the collection, processing, and transportation of specimens to the laboratory.  The Phlebotomist helps the doctor in treatment and prevention of diseases.  Often the Phlebotomist is the patient's only contact with the medical laboratory.  Phlebotomy Technicians must love challenges and responsibilities.  They must be accurate, work well with others, work well under pressure and communicate effectively. They must be able to deal with the patients under stress and be able to calm them down.
